New Belgium Is Opening a Denver Brewpub Complete With Food and an 8th-floor Barrel Aging Balcony

After 26 years in Fort Collins, New Belgium Brewery is expanding to Denver.  The new brewery was announced in July 2015 and will specialize in small batch and sour beers.  This will be the second brewery located at The Source, as Crooked Stave has been operating there for the past few years.  According to New Belgium’s press release, the tasting room will also offer small plate and snack food options, and with the numerous restaurants inside The Source, this could be a match made in heaven.

New Belgium Brewery will be making beer on site, and they will be barrel-aging beers on the 8th-floor lounge called The Woods.  The space will also feature a pool, a roof deck, and a restaurant. The floors between the ground level brewery and the 8th-floor space will be home to a 100 room hotel.  The Source has been expanding quickly and is also constructing a second market hall which will more than double the retail and restaurant space.  In addition to the new brewpub and hotel, a 300 space parking garage opened last year, and a pedestrian bridge is in the works to connect Brighton Boulevard and The Source to the commuter rail station at 38th and Blake as well as the rest of the River North neighborhood.  Read more about that in our recent post here.

New Belgium plans to have the brewery open by Spring 2017.  The Source is located at 3350 Brighton Boulevard, Denver, Colorado  80216.
