Denver Approves $4 Million in Tax Incentives for Possible Downtown Target Store

In an update to our earlier story, Denver City Council approved a huge tax incentive package this past week which would benefit Target and Sixteen Cal LLC, the owners of the location of the planned Target store at the intersection of the 16th Street Mall and California Street.  If the plan becomes reality, it would be Denver’s first downtown department store in over 15 years.  The tax incentive package is actually going to the landlords of the building where Target plans to open.  More information about the planned flexible-format Target store which will be among the first of its kind in the nation is available in our original post here.
